Below some related conferences are listed which could be attended right before or after ANTS XVII, sorted by distance.
International Symposium on Symbolic and Algebraic Computation (ISSAC)
ISSAC will be held in the week after ANTS in Oldenburg, Germany, July 13 - 16, 2026. The cities of Groningen and Oldenburg are close to each other (about 2 hours by public transport), so in 2026 it is very convenient to attend both conferences.
Géométrie Algébrique en Liberté (GAeL XXXIII)
GAeL will be held in the week before ANTS in Leiden, the Netherlands, June 29 - July 3, 2026. This is an annual workshop organized by and for young algebraic geometers. The aim of this workshop is to gather young mathematicians in this field of research and give them an opportunity to discuss freely. The city of Leiden is less than 3 hours by train from Groningen, and is close to the main airport (Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, AMS), making it very convenient to attend both conferences.
Conference on Computing Rational Points (ChaBONNty)
The ChaBONNty conference takes place from June 29 - July 3, 2026 at MPIM Bonn. The train connection from Frankfurt Airport to Bonn takes about 1.5 hours and from Bonn to Groningen about 5-6 hours.
Number Theory Workshop of the Foundations of Computational Mathematics (FoCM)
This workshop will be held in the week after ANTS in Vienna, Austria, July 13 - 15, 2026 as part of FoCM (July 8 - 18, 2026). Night trains connect Vienna to various cities in the Netherlands.
Curves, Abelian Varieties and Related Topics (CAVARET2)
This conference will be held in the week after ANTS at Universitat de Barcelona, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, July 13 - 17, 2026. There are direct flights from Amsterdam (AMS) to Barcelona (BCN).
